Users Guide

Basically you can use almost all PrivCore services using only web browser. It’s the most easy way, but not necessary most convenient, since web based clients often lacks advanced functionality.

Here you will find configuration tips for recommended stand alone clients. All clients listed below are available on the open-source license or have free version.

File synchronization

List of recommended clients:

• ownCloud – multi platform, including mobile devices
• Cirrus for ownCloud – Android

As a server address you should type in : https://<your_domain>/owncloud

Calendar synchronization

List of recommended clients:

• Thunderbird + Lighting plugin – multi platform
• CalDav Sync Adapter – Android

You can either copy exact link from ownCloud or use autodiscovery :
https://<your_domain>/owncloud/remote.php/caldav

Contacts synchronization

List of recommended clients:

• Thunderbird + CardBook plugin – multi platform
• CardDav-Sync free – Android

XMPP Clients

List of recommended clients:

• Pidgin – multi platform
• Zoiper – multi platform
• Freelab Messenger – Android

During client configuration type in your domain and default connect port (5222). Address for multi-user chat is “muc.<your_domain>“.

SMTP / IMAP

List of recommended clients:

• Thunderbird – multi platform

IMAP settings:

• imap server – <your_domain>:143
• authorization – STARTTLS with plaintext password, username without domain part

SMTP settings:

• smtp server – <your_domain>:25
• authorization – STARTTLS with plaintext password, username without domain part
